Hot and fresh out of the kitchen its the remix.  Taking the best attributes of productive patterns and putting them into one to create a super fly(hopefully)

Remix:
20mm fish skull shank
6/0 uni-thread
medium dumbell eyes
orange sts tri-lobal dubbing
deer hair
silver flashabou
blue flashabou
white rabbit
SZ 4 Octopus hook

Length can vary depending on target species, water clarity etc. but my most popular size is around 2 1/2 inches.

This is a fly you will thank me for sharing and the steelhead, bass, salmon, trout will hate me for sharing.  Tie it in a bunch of colors and see for yourself.
Shank is in vise with medium dumbell eyes and fireline trailer for hook are tied in.
orange sts dubbing as tag(or color to match what you are tying)
Spun deer hair or artic fox dubbing brush 2 wraps to give body to fly.
Silver flashabou tied in at the center and pulled back on opposite side, excess flashabou tied in same way on bottom for throat. (see how blue is tied in below for better pic.)
Blue flashabou about 10-14 strands tied in same way as silver in center of flashabou.
Then pulled back to cover both sides.
 Make dubbing loop for rabbit.

Rabbit in dubbing loop to form head whip finish and done.

Low Rider

Shank:  35mm
Tag:  Orange sts tri-lobal dubbing
Tail:  White Ostrich Herl
Body:  Silver body braid
Lateral line:  krinkle flash laser
Collar: Olive Marabou
Head:  Olive Ice Dub
Hook:  Sz 4 Gamakatsu Octopus

Low Rider is for lower flows which i feel we may have to contend with this Fall.  Smaller size of this fly lends itself well to more natural colors for mid day fishing and blacks and purples during low light.

STS dubbing in dubbing loop for tag after thread base and loop for hook is tied in.

About 14 pieces ostrich herl in dubbing loop followed by silver body braid.

Artic fox dubbing brush natural, 2 wraps.

2 strands each side of krinkle flash in laser color.

2-3 wraps olive marabou.

Small clump olive ice dub for head, whip finish and done.

This version uses lite blue marabou, 3 wraps silver hackle flash and finished with pearl ice dub.

I am stocking up on smaller, sparser flies for swinging this Fall and suggest you do the same just in case we are dealing with low water conditions.

Double Decker Spey:

Yes all materials are available at Chagrin River Outfitters.

Fish Skull 20 mm shank (2)
30# fire line original fused
6/0 orange Uni-Thread
UV purple polar chenille
sts or ice dub orange
mirage fringe flashabou
Electric blue flashabou
purple marabou
pink guinea
sz 4 Gamakatsu Octopus hook

1. Attach Fire line to shank.

2.Tie in UV polar chenille and palmer forward, leaving space for head.

3. Orange sts dubbing in dubbing loop. Purpose of this step is to add contrast with orange dubbing and as importantly the dubbing helps give the silhouette we are looking for to the flash and marabou.

4. Two strands mirage fringe.

5. Small Clump (8-10 strands) electric blue flashabou tied in middle on near side.

6. Fold flashabou over, on opposite side and tie in.

7. Purple marabou tied in at tip, 2-4 wraps.

8. Add Pink guinea for collar, tied in at tip, 2-3 wraps, whip finish.

Attach two shanks together by passing open end of second shank thru eye of first and close first shank with thread.

Repeat steps 2-8 for finished fly. purple polar chenille.

Orange sts dubbing in dubbing loop.

mirage fringe and electric blue flashabou.

Purple marabou.

Pink Guinea. Don't forget to add hook, size 4 gamakatsu octopus.

The Double Decker is a deadly fly and fishes well as a single fly and is a dream to cast. The addition of the second shank however adds much more wiggle and movement to drive fish bonkers. Tie up in a bunch of fishy colors and have at it, satisfaction guaranteed.

Avenger
Thread:6/0 white or blue uni-thread
Hook: 2220 size 2 or any large streamer hook that you don't mind cutting with a large eye that can be tied with eye facing up.
Hot spot: red ice dub
Tail: Chinchilla rabbit strip
Body: Pheasant tail ice dub
Wing: Holographic rainbow flashabou
Throat: Chartreuse ice dub
Eyes: Large bead chain gold
Head: Steelie blu ice dub
stinger hook: Daiichi or Gamakatsu octopus hook size 4

The hook in this instance is a down eye streamer hook but we are going to cut the hook above the bend and place in the vise with the eye facing up.

Great fly in the surf when fished with a sink tip and a go to fly for swinging on sunny days in early and late Fall.

With hook in the vise take thread base back about one inch along hook shank.

30# Fireline thru hook eye and tied down along hook shank.

Fireline tied along top and bottom of hook for strong connection, then super glue very lightly along shank for extra strong hold(optional)
*note fireline loop should be about 1 1/4 inches.

Tie in at the middle small clump of red ice dub along inside edge of hook just on front of fireline.

Bringing forward facing ice dub to the rear and outside edge and tie down.

Trim Ice dub to slightly more than 1/8th of an inch in length.

Tie in Chinchilla rabbit strip in front of red ice dub. Tail should not extend past fireline.

Dub a very small body, not longer than 1/4 of an inch with pheasant tail ice dub, and tie rabbit down just in front of dubbed body.

Take one wrap of rabbit around hook shank and tie off.
6-10 strands or however many you prefer rainbow holographic flashabou tied down in middle just in front of the rabbit on top.

Fold back the forward facing strands of flashabou and tie off.

Slide medium clump of Chartreuse ice dub over the hook eye and tie down in the middle of clump just in front of flash with three wraps.

Stroke back the forward facing ice dub and make about 5-8 wraps just in front to hold it in place.
Tie on large gold bead chain eyes leaving about an 1/8th of an inch between bead chain and hook eye so we can whip finish later.

Steelie blue ice dub in a dubbing loop. 2-3 wraps behind eyes, a couple wraps around the eyes, tie off and whip finish.

Attach hook and your ready to go fishing.

Small batch of avengers ready to go.

Its always hard to name a fly but when i read about the "Avengers" movie being filmed in Cleveland right now it seemed like a natural fit. Good Luck
